I enjoy conceiving the world of the play from early collaborations and taking the work to the final spirit through lighting each moment.  It feels rare, but being the architect of the stage and then controlling what and how the audience sees that environment is truly thrilling for me.  I enjoy both roles, scenic and lighting design individually, but an internal synergy happens when I get to do both.

I'm not particularly strict about process; I have modes of effective creation but I'm always embracing new paths. Each show presents a new dare, a new challenge. It is about finding that place of what works really well but daring to find something more relevant, respond to new people, or embrace a new technology.
